C Tyler Building were recommended to us for a building project at our home in Broadway, Worcestershire. The project involved demolishing an existing garage and re-building it, converting it into a one-bay garage with a one-bed studio apartment.
Chris was involved from the beginning of the project, working alongside our architect and keeping within the planning permission stipulations. We had various requirements such as the overall look of the build, working within a small space and various finishes including re-using as much material from the original build, using reclaimed materials to complete the rest and re-doing the driveway around the garage to smarten it all up once the build was finished.
We are absolutely delighted with the finished build. The C Tyler team worked extremely hard to meet our requirements and the work is of a very high quality. Anyone who has seen our new conversion or stayed in it has commented on how fantastic the build is.
Chris was on site regularly and kept us updated with decisions, progress and costings. His team were all very professional, hard working and respectful. We enjoyed getting to know them all and we felt they were all very trustworthy. Disruption during the build was kept to a minimum and they always kept the area safe and tidy.

Replacing an old style conservatory with an extension to make the new area part of the main house and providing a space that can be used all year round, additionally to tile the floor from the new room into the dining area, kitchen and utility room. I also had part of the garage converted into a downstairs shower area. Iain, Stuart and the team did all of the building works which included removing the old conservatory, preparing the groundworks, liaising with external authorities, Seven Trent, Building regs etc and full build of the extension, window fitting, roofing and internal floor tiling. I also got the team to supply and build a new fence between myself and my next door neighbour. The guys did a fantastic job, were very helpful and good gang to have on site. I would recommend to anyone.

We were very fortunate to have Tyler builders build our guest room extension over a period of about 5 months. Iain and Stuart gave a detailed quote which was adhered to and they were used to working with our architect/project manager which was a plus. It was when Covid was causing all sorts of supply problems and what we appreciated most of all was that we were always told what was happening and who would be appearing on the site and when. We found all the workmen easy to have around and Stuart and Iain kept a close eye on standards and were happy to discuss any queries we had. Snagging was not extensive but all completed in good time. We have been very pleased with the end result and would gladly have them build any future projects.

We employed C.Tyler Building Limited to carry out a comprehensive refurbishment to our 30 year old house. The work was carried out over nine months in 2021 and we remained in occupation for the duration of the renovations. The Contract included the construction of a single storey extension attached to the rear of our kitchen/breakfast room and knocking through to the existing dining room to create a large open plan kitchen area. A new enlarged kitchen was fitted together with a separate adjacent utility room.
Upstairs we remodelled the existing family bathroom and enlarged the existing en-suite bathroom to incorporate new walk-in showers and new sanitary ware, together with a new pressurised hot water system. Externally the roof was overhauled and new aluminium gutters and fascias provided.
Both Iain Tyler and Stuart Watts, the directors, and their various specialist sub-contractors were efficient and friendly. They were reliable, professional and hard working. They kept to budget, provided accurate billing and kept us up to date with work schedules with regular meetings. They worked hard to overcome the difficulties we met caused by the Covid restrictions. Overall, we are very pleased with our refurbished home, the attention to detail and the high quality of work.
We have employed several builders for various projects over our fifty years of home ownership. So as we approached our final project, to take a 1960s small, tired house and transform it to a future proofed eco aware home, we knew it was vital we employ the right people.

We had an extension designed as well as a considerable amount of internal remodelling in our house. Tyler’s was one of four building companies asked to tender by our architect. They impressed us with knowledge and attitude on their visit, and we selected them from the two most competitive quotes. We are pleased that we did.
The excellent team had the skills to deal with all aspects of the building work from the large scale, such as removing walls and building the extension, through converting a bedroom into a large family bathroom, to the small and detailed, for example, designing and constructing a small oak staircase to connect split levels on the ground floor. Our home has been transformed and we love the result.
Importantly, we know that Tyler’s are a trustworthy and reliable company. A couple of years down the line, we automatically turn to them for help with any building work, from fitting new guttering and drainage, to re-roofing, for which they have subcontracted and co-ordinated other dependable specialists.
